Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  This was made from punches.  Both 'glasses' were made with the StampinUP tag punch.  I had found some super shinny/glittery silver paper and used that for the 'glasses' and the stem .  The base of the glass was punched with the Round Tab Punch and cut in half.  Wording was computer generated and cut out with a Labels Nestabilities.  Glasses were adhered to vellum paper and then attached to black cardstock.  In each of the corners is a silver dab of Stickles.  Hope you have a Happy New Year!

Santa Face with Punches

Guess that you could say I had a thing for Santa faces this year with all the cards that I made!  This one was done with all punches.  Used the StampinUP Ornament Punch for the beard and then ran it thru one of the Cuttlebug folders.  The wings from the Bird Punch made the mustache and the rest were ovals and circles. Applied squiggly eyes and used chalk for his cheeks.  Just love how he turned out.

HO, HO, HO

The Santa face was from a string of faces that were being sold as an embellishment for a tablecloth.  Saw it and thought that I could cut them off of the string and make cards with it!  The Santa hat and nose are fuzzy and I cut the red background out with a Nestabilities.  HO, HO, HO, hope you had a nice Christmas!

Santa Clothes

Clothes Make the Man - how true when it comes to Santa!  All were stamped and then cut out and popped up with pop dots.  Colored with Copics.  Dark green background was sewed to red background and then attached to white card.  Just love to color and sew!  The picture looks a little funky because of the angle.  I mailed out all the cards before I realized that there was a glare on the picture.  I had sprayed Glimmer Mist to make the clothes shinny and then when taking the picture the light reflected off only part of the clothes, but the pants were shinny too.  I like to personalize cards and the saying was perfect for this one!.  Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy!

Santa's Little Helper

Elf Feet - just too darn cute!  These were made from punches - once again, how others think of these things is just amazing.  Used the Top Note die (StampinUP) and then cut it into fourths.  I sponged the edges so that it will stand out a little, used Desert Sand from Memento Inks.  Then used the StampinUp Ornament Punch and a small round punch to make the top of the 'feet'.  Cut strips of paper for the 'stockings'.  And used a circle punch for the sparkly circle on the tips of the 'shoes'.  Makes me smile when I look at them!

Christmas Barn

When I make Christmas cards I always try to look for a design or stamp of something that is very pretty but also easy to color.  I need to make so many of them each year that easier is always better!  This card was colored with Copics and chalks, but it didn't take much - a little highlighting here and there and voila, a wonderful card!

Snow Lodge

Another easy Christmas card.  Just stamped the lodge and then colored in only the 'snow' parts with a white pen.  Didn't have a ribbon to match my cardstock, so sorta made my own with the strips of paper.  Background is embossed with the Lattice folder from StampinUP.  Hope you have Warm Winter Wishes!

Turkey Day

Each year I make a Thanksgiving card for our employees at work.  This year used the Bird Punch from StampinUP to create the turkey - isn't it cute?!  It is just amazing what others can come up with when using punches.  I like the effect that sewing has on a card, so used scrapes of paper, then used the Lattice Embossing folder and then stitched all the sections.  Just makes a card look unique!

Snowman

I love to make Christmas cards and its a good thing . . . each year I make my companies Christmas cards.  It is usually around 300!  I also make about 40 personal cards.  Yes, a lot of cards, but just love to make them!  The business cards were normally all the same, but I have been getting tired of making all of the same card, so this year I made a few different ones and I enjoyed making them all the more.  This card was colored with Copics and chalks.  The sentiment was computer generated.  Snowflake on the left was punched from glitter paper, always gotta have bling!

Three Christmas Trees

This is from StampinUp's Loads of Love set.  Only the middle tree has red 'ornaments'.  Just love the simplicity of this card!  Trees and words were all embossed, I like how it shines.

Stamp Club Cards - November 2011 - 2

Love the Imagine card!  It will make a great Graduation card this year.  Snowflake was done by embossing the white snowflake onto the card and then rubbing blues and purple over the rest of the card and wiping off the excess from the snowflakes.  Very pretty!
Skater card, has an old feel to it, to go along with the skaters.  Tree card is very elegant.  Notice the lace at the bottom of the card - really sets it off!

Snowman money holder.  The belly band slides off and it opens up so that you can put a gift card/money inside.  Very clever!
