Wine Bottle

Needed to create a dimensional card so decided to finally use a stamp set that I borrowed.  (Thank you, Gerlinde!).  It is from Sparkle N Sprinkle and is called Chianti.  The background paper is already dotted and shows up with white dots in the picture, which gives it added dimension!
Colored the wine bottle and grapes with Copics and then chalked around it while still in the Nestabilities so that it would have a white edge.  Then used two coats of Crystal Effects on the grapes and wine in the glass so that it would really shine and stand out.  Wording was computer generated (Like a fine wine, you only get better with age!) and cut with Nestabilities and lightly chalked around the edges.

Love how this card turned out and I like to make dimensional type cards, they are always so interesting!

Graduation Hat

My son, David, is graduating High School in a few weeks, so I made the graduation announcements.  The announcement is in the shape of a hat!  Each one had to be hand cut from black paper and then added the blue piece for the 'pocket' at the bottom.  Printed out the announcement part and then used a template - because it was at such an angle - to cut out each one to attach to the hat.  Used two punches for the paw print, one for the paw and then one for the circle background - love the additional glitter!  I think they turned out really neat and something totally different to announce a great milestone.  Congratulations David!

Manly

Had to make a quick birthday card for a guy - always so hard to do when over half your stamps are flowers!  So ended up with this.  Simply put pale blue chalk and light tan chalk on the image and then used crystal effects on the watch face and glasses.  It took longer for the crystal effects to dry than it did to make the whole card!  I think it turned out nice and very manly!

Purse Holder w/Note Cards

Wanted to make a set of cards to give away as a gift.  Used the StampinUp Blossom Punch to make the red and yellow flowers. And then used the Modern Label Punch to make the opposite color on the flowers.  Both punches are the perfect size to make a great flower.

Hard to see in the picture but I embossed each card with the Swiss Dots Folder so that they have texture, then added a strip of paper - a cheap way to make it looks like it is a ribbon!

The little purse or tote will hold all four cards and envelopes.  I scored the front of the purse and then used silver Stickles to dot each interchange so that it is all lined up perfectly.  Used silver brads to attach the handles and then attached another red and yellow flower with pop dots to the front.  It turned out so neat that I think that I will make more for gifts.

Stamp Club Cards - May 2012

Stamp Club Cards - think that this is my favorite time of the month.  Just love doing all the cards that Diane has for us to do.  I changed them up a tiny bit to suit my needs, but once again, love them all!

Happy 90th Birthday, Dad!

My Father-In-Law's birthday is 5-14 and he will be 90!  So what kind of card do you make for him . . . one with 90 candles!  I cut strips of different colored paper for the candles and then for the flame I used a tiny leaf punch and used shinny yellow paper.  Think it turned out kinda neat!  Cut the words with my Cricut.  Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!  Used StampinUP's Blossom Punch for the purple flower and then used my favorite die-cut for the leaves - Cherry Lynn Designs - Fanciful Flourish.  Also put a strip of embossed hearts down the center of card to add some texture.  Then put a few butterflies on and you have a pretty easy card that turned out nice and made a nice card for Mother's Day.  (I think that I will change the tag and use it for other occasions too).

Dad's 90th Birthday Party

Happy 90th Birthday Papa!  Wow, such a milestone.  These were the favors for the family dinner that was held in honor of Dad's birthday.  They were made with the StampinUp Two Tags Die.  All of the words were cut out with my Cricut.  Inside were two nuggets that I printed 90's all over the wrapper.  It was such a great time and the favors were a big hit.

And this was Papa's Garden.  I took a picture of each person and put it on a flower.  Turned out really cute and made a great centerpiece.  Happy Birthday Dad!
