Was at a recent garage sale and picked up this stamp set - Window on the World - from StampinUP. This set will become a favorite of mine, I can already tell. I stamped the window and pumpkin, colored it in Copics and chalk and then cut the window out. Then I cut light tan paper and scored it at half inch intervals lengthwise. Then scored it randomly horizontally so that it appears that it is planks of wood. I sponged the whole front in light brown and then went back with a gold pen and put dots on each end of the planks, as you can see in the close up of the second photo. Stamped some flowers and taped the window on the planks. I think it turned out kinda neat and love this stamp and all the possibilities of what can be sitting in the window. Be prepared, there will be a lot more cards made with this stamp set!
. . . yes another card from Terry . . . hope it doesn't cost extra postage to receive it!

Stamp Club Cards - Oct/Nov 2012
Just love all the cards that we always make in our Stamp Club! Below are the cards that were made in October and November.
Peace card was so simple and elegant! Leaf card is my favorite!
Christmas cards - never can have too many - love the buckle on the Santa one.
Sunflower was to be all brown, but needed a card that was brighter so sponged yellow around the flower - used yellow Stickles in the center of the flower. Classic Christmas tree, love the brown 'wood' background!
Blue card is actually a large sunflower, same as yellow one above, but only half of it is stamped and then cut in thirds. Love how it all coordinates together. And another simple Christmas card - just four decorative pieces of paper for the front of the card and then Joy in the center.

Orange Lilly
This card is made from a digital stamp that I have had for a while. It is colored with Copics, I think I like to color more than anything! There are many layers to this card, which I love to do also, especially when you can find papers instead of cardstock so the card is not so heavy. Has orange Stickles on the lily. Turned out to be a bright, cheery card!

Stamp Club Card - September 2012
The center balloon is pop dotted so it stands up higher than the other two. The card on the right was so hard to photograph. It is a fall card with different colored leaves all over it. The reason that it is shinny is that we used White Shimmer Paint. You put a little in a dish then use a piece of Saran Wrap crunched up and dab it over the card. It gives it a real shimmery look!
All the cards were great and the company of the group even better! Always love the cards!

Vase on a Shelf
This was a very quick card to make. Sorta looks like a vase on a ledge or shelf. The vase part is a circle and the bottom is cut off then run thru the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. All the flowers were store bought (they came in a tall bottle) and glued on. There is a dot of Stickles in the center of each flower. This turned out really cute and it was super fast to dream it up and create it - it took longer for the Stickles to dry than it did to make the card!

Stamp Club Cards - August 2012
Well a little late posting these, but can remember that it was a great card makin' day! Glad that we did a Christmas one, never to early to start making them. My designs were a little different than everyone else's, I had different needs than they did, so most of mine were thinking of you type cards. Always a fun time!

Welcome Home
One of my favorite type of cards to make! A friend was out of town and so when they came back they had to have a welcome home type card. I had gone around and taken pictures of their yard and put them on a card for them with the inside stating Welcome Home!

Wonderful Day
This stamp is from a very old StampinUp set, Not So Short Notes. I think that it was originally for bookmarks as the stamps are about five inches long. I didn't want it that long, so I just covered up the bottom of the stamp with a post-it-note and stamped only the top part. Then used a Nestabilities set to cut it out along with the words. The words were on a long stamp too, so I just retyped them so that it was more useable for my card. The inside says: ...with wishes for a wonderful day!

Big Flowers
Totally love the blossom punch and stamp set from StampinUP, and so easy to create with it! I cased this from another site, but don't remember who it was anymore. Just stamped some flowers in different colors and then punched them out. Stamped the flowers again for the centers so that they would be in green and used a small circle punch to punch them out. Pop-dotted them and put white Stitckles on the dots so that close up it pops! To make the 'vase', used a circle and cut off some on the bottom so that it looks like a vase. Used a strip of embossing folder so the vase was not so plain. I think that it turned out kinda bright and cheery!

Gift Bags
Aren't these cute! These are small plain white lunch bags that are decorated and have a flap to close them. There is also a ribbon on the back as a handle. The front and back of the bag is covered with the blue star paper and then the red is folded over the top, adhered in the back and Velcro is in the front. Happy Birthday was cut with my Cricut and the stars are made with punches. Here is another example:
The polka dot bag has a button on the front and once again Velcro is on the inside of the flap to seal it. The purple ribbon on the top is adhered on the back and is the handle for the bag.
The flowers are made from tissue paper!! Took a sheet of tissue paper and folded and folded it till it was about 6x6. Using my scalloped punch, punched thru all the layers, about 10-12, and put a brad in the center. Then scrunched up each layer around the brad - they turned out so pretty.
This bag has three different sizes of flowers on it. I only had one scalloped punch, the large one. I wanted different sizes of flowers, so punched out circles with my circle punches - two different sizes - and traced it onto the tissue paper. Then used my decorative scissors to cut around it so that it has a funky edge. I think they turned out great! I liked the flowers so much that I made a bunch of them for more projects. Thanks Jo (and Diane) for the idea of the flowers, love them!

A Purrrrfect Day
Another digital stamp! Colored with Copics and chalks. Click on the picture to enlarge it and see the 'wallpaper' that I created with a tiny duck stamp. It was the only stamp that I had that was so small that it would look appropriate on the size of paper I was using. I also used crystal effects on the fishbowl so that it was shinny, like glass. The wording is computer generated and cut out with a Nestabilities label. Oh, and the pink background is from StampinUP embossing folder, Framed Tulips. I hope you are having a purrrrfect day!

Stamp Club Cards - July 2012
More cards from our stamp club for July. They are always so nice. I like the red one because it is so different with the hole punched out and then the image was stamped inside. They were all stamped or embossed and then used pop dots to adhere them to the front of the cards.

To Cheer You
This is a digital stamp from a company that went out of business. I just loved her work. Made this for a friend as a get well card - thought it was kinda cute!

Stamp Club Cards - June 2012
A little late posting these cards, but once again a great time doing cards in June. Love them all! The yellow and black card will have a label on it once I figure out what I am going to use it for but all the rest are ready to go!

Arizona Thank You
Was asked to make a special card for a friend as a thank you for a trip that they took. I love to create this type of card - it makes it so personal! They were in Arizona so a map of the state is the background on the front of the card and then I put the State Flag and the name of the place that they stayed. Turned out really neat, almost like a mini scrapbook page!

Wine Bottle
Needed to create a dimensional card so decided to finally use a stamp set that I borrowed. (Thank you, Gerlinde!). It is from Sparkle N Sprinkle and is called Chianti. The background paper is already dotted and shows up with white dots in the picture, which gives it added dimension!
Colored the wine bottle and grapes with Copics and then chalked around it while still in the Nestabilities so that it would have a white edge. Then used two coats of Crystal Effects on the grapes and wine in the glass so that it would really shine and stand out. Wording was computer generated (Like a fine wine, you only get better with age!) and cut with Nestabilities and lightly chalked around the edges.

Graduation Hat
My son, David, is graduating High School in a few weeks, so I made the graduation announcements. The announcement is in the shape of a hat! Each one had to be hand cut from black paper and then added the blue piece for the 'pocket' at the bottom. Printed out the announcement part and then used a template - because it was at such an angle - to cut out each one to attach to the hat. Used two punches for the paw print, one for the paw and then one for the circle background - love the additional glitter! I think they turned out really neat and something totally different to announce a great milestone. Congratulations David!

Manly
Had to make a quick birthday card for a guy - always so hard to do when over half your stamps are flowers! So ended up with this. Simply put pale blue chalk and light tan chalk on the image and then used crystal effects on the watch face and glasses. It took longer for the crystal effects to dry than it did to make the whole card! I think it turned out nice and very manly!
