Was asked to make wedding invitations for my brother-in-law in Florida. Gave them several ideas and they picked a tri-fold card. Her colors were aqua and cream and the base card is made with linen paper. They wanted a bow on the front and instead of a regular bow, I made a 'flat' bow, so that it would mail easier. Had to cut the rounded parts by hand, didn't have any other way to do it! Yes, it was very time consumming, but well worth it. I think they turned out very elegant and pretty. (And they liked them as well!).
Inside view. Printed out information on the computer and then used a Cuttlebug strip for the 'with love' and embossed it at the bottom of each paper. Printed out their names and punched two circles and popped it up on the top of the invite. Ribbon is actually from the Christmas section at Michaels, but I thought that it was perfect as it has a little gold and is cream colored.
A close up of the front of the invite. The aqua paper was embossed with the Birds and Swirls folder with the Cuttlebug. The folder itself was not long enough for the card, so had to piece the paper together and hide the separation with the ribbon. The folder is only about 5 1/4 inches high and this card was about 6 1/2 inches high. You would never know by looking at it that it was pieced together. They are having two ceremonies and I hope that they have a great time at both of them! Congratulations Bob & Scarlett!!
